The Story Behind our GG Collection Soy Candles

The GG Collection soy candles are more than a home fragrance range. They are a living memory and a heartfelt tribute to five generations of women connected through love, strength and family.

The collection is named after my beautiful mum, who was affectionately known as “GG” by her great-grandchildren. She was a gentle, loving and remarkably strong woman whose presence shaped our family in ways that are still felt today.

Creating the GG Collection gave me a meaningful way to honour her memory and celebrate the generations of women who came before and after her.

Five Generations of Women

For one very special period in our family’s story, we had five generations of women together:

• My grandmother

• My mum, our beloved GG

• Myself

• My daughter

• GG’s great-grandchildren

It was something truly remarkable.

Together, we formed a strong and loving group of women, each generation carrying something forward from the one before it. Our family was connected through shared experiences, cherished traditions and the quiet strength that women so often pass from one generation to another.

Those moments together became even more precious with time.

The Woman Behind the GG Collection

My grandmother was a woman of resilience and grace. She passed those qualities on to my mum, who carried them through her own life with kindness and an open heart.

When her great-grandchildren arrived, GG’s world seemed to grow brighter. They brought her laughter, energy and a renewed sense of joy.

She wasn’t simply watching them grow from the sidelines. She was completely involved in their lives. Her days were filled with stories, cuddles, playful smiles and the beautiful laughter that comes from a genuine connection between generations.

Watching the relationship between GG and her great-grandchildren was incredibly special. Although they were separated by many years, the love between them felt effortless.

When my mum passed away, I knew I wanted to honour her in a way that was personal, lasting and filled with warmth.

That wish became the GG Collection.

Creating the GG Collection Soy Candles

The GG Collection was created to reflect the qualities that made my mum so special: warmth, gentleness, strength and unconditional love.

Every detail was chosen with care, from the fragrances to the elegant presentation. Each candle is hand-poured in Australia using soy wax and cotton wicks and is designed to bring a comforting glow into the home.

The candles represent more than fragrance. They represent memories, family connections and the stories that continue to shape us.

The collection includes:

• Isla – Sweet Fruity Soy Candle, a joyful fragrance filled with sweet, playful notes.

• Benny – Cake Scented Soy Candle, inspired by comforting celebrations and happy moments at home.

• Reef – Tropical Soy Candle, a bright tropical fragrance inspired by warm coastal days.

• Tully – Jasmine Magnolia Soy Candle, a soft and graceful floral fragrance.

Scent has a beautiful ability to bring memories back to us.

A familiar fragrance can remind us of a person, a home, a celebration or a moment we thought we had forgotten. That connection between fragrance and memory is especially meaningful to the GG Collection.

For me, every candle carries a little of GG’s warmth and the love shared across our five generations.
