The idea for Bottlenose Candles first surfaced many years ago.
A quiet dream inspired by my love for the ocean and the playful spirit of dolphins. For a long time, I wasn’t sure how to bring it to life. It wasn’t until 2021, when I discovered candle making as a creative outlet, that everything clicked. The spark of an idea became a flame, and Bottlenose Candles was born.

From the very beginning, Bottlenose Candles has been about two loves intertwined. The calming glow of a candle and the deep connection to the sea. A candle is more than fragrance and light; it’s a moment of peace, a chance to slow down, and in many ways, it reflects the serenity I feel watching dolphins glide through the waves.

The Australian coastline is my greatest muse. From golden beaches warmed by the sun to the salt-kissed breeze at dusk, each fragrance is inspired by coastal life and designed to bring that sense of freedom and tranquility into your home.
But Bottlenose Candles is more than scent, it’s about purpose. That’s why I chose to support Dolphin Research Australia, ensuring that the dolphins who inspired this journey are protected, cherished, and free for generations to come.

At Bottlenose Candles, every flame tells a story of the sea and none shines brighter than that of our adopted dolphin, Muppet.

Muppet is an Indo-Pacific female bottlenose dolphin who lives in the waters of southern Moreton Bay, Queensland. Her life is a true tale of resilience. She has survived both a shark attack and several boat strikes, each leaving her with scars that mark her strength and courage.
​
But Muppet’s story is also one of nurturing love. She has brought two calves into the world, who will remain by her side and rely on her for up to four years of life. Learning, growing, and playing under her watchful care. Through her, we’re reminded of the deep family bonds dolphins share, so similar to our own.
​
